Snow...Snow... Snow

We are getting more snow today.. We need it and the kids love it. I myself am ready for spring but I know it is in due time...till then enjoy every minute. So we have been! Our kids seem to be the highlight of our lives. They crack us up and make us laugh daily. How much joy they bring is crazy in between all the naughty moments. Seem so strange but any parent know the nasty moments can't even compare to each of the great!

We just had a recent photo shoot. I love taking pictures and here are a few that I loved. There were many to choose from and let me tell you kids can come up with some fun expressions.

May we all have a better week and find a way to serve more!!

They were singing for me.

Pony Ride

This weekend some friend invited the children to come and ride Sierra's new pony. Of course my kids were all about it. They had so much fun. Now Sydnee wants one. One day maybe.....

Look how much fun they had......

FHE........

New years Resolution.... Do better at FHE.....what a task that is with two little children. I don't think it is ever easy, but I know I must do better. So this is our start and I thought I would share. My sister Julie told me about this. I believe it came out of the ensign this last year. This is our twist. We made some boxes and filled each one. One has a game, one has a lesson or gospel teaching method, and the last has songs to sing. I really thought the kids would enjoy it and let me tell you it was a hit. In fact we do it every day. I am so excited that they love it. I will do it every day. I love the gospel and will take every minute to teach my children. It is even more fun when they are excited.

Activity:
Read a story for the Friend
Who is the prophet
How can we share with other
How can you help your mom and Dad
Read a scripture
Talk about a picture in the Friend
Tell a scripture story
The list can go on and on

Songs:
Primary songs

Games:
Play with Chase favorite toy
Play Hide and seek
Read a story
Play game board
( Of course this is age appropriate for my kids, but you can do what ever)

Place a slip of paper with activities, games, and songs in their boxes. Let the kids draw one from each box. Do the activity, song, game and FHE is done. Already planned and no excuse for not doing it.

Snacks: Can't forget a snack

May we all do better at teaching our children and gather them together for FHE.

Christmas.... Wish it never ended.....

We had so much fun this Christmas! Christmas is much more exciting to watch your children wake up with such a surprise on their faces. Chase was the first one awake and went crazy. He found his tool set from Santa and wouldn't open any other gifts. We finally convinced him to open them with his tools and he went right to it. Sydnee was so full of it. She couldn't contain herself with all the gifts. She loved her princess dresses, but I think the kicker was her makeup. She asked for that over and over and Santa came through. Isn't Santa Nice!!! We had such a wonderful time. We cherish all the moments shared with family and friends.
We had two weeks to spend with Courtney before he headed to Logan, Utah for his last two internships. We spent one week fixing up the bathroom in our new place. Then the last week we spent sledding, and playing with the Ivie family to celebrate Christmas and the new year.
The new year 2010. WOW!! We look back and time just flies. So much to remember, live for, cherish, dream, and laugh about in the past year and so much more to look forward to. What a way to bring in the new year then playing Risk with your family and battling it out to conquer the world. If only it was so easy in life as rolling dice. The girls had so much fun playing together and it was fun laughing with our brothers and sisters. On new years day we had the surprise of a snowy day. So we took advantage of sledding and putting the snow and cold to good fun!! We even got grandpa to get on and he was way to wild for an old man. HA ! HA! HA! IT WAS A BLAST!! Of course the kids didn't want to quit even though they looked frozen. Thanks to all the family and friends for the best 2009 and wish all a brighter 2010!!!
Courtney finished this puzzle with two pieces that don't even work. Don't ya just hate that!
