We have has such a awesome summer!! It seems like it is coming to a close with Courtney going back to school and the weather getting a bit cooler. However, we are still having some fun. We just recently went camping at the Ivie park. Sydnee and Chase thought that was great fun. We got rained on that evening and Sydnee thought that was the coolest thing ever. I guess it was the thrill to her and her cousins. We were great full that the clouds rolled by so we could all sit around the fire and eat!
I have been busy canning beans. We did 50 bushal and Sydnee and Chase were good sports about helping. Courtney has been back to work sweating in the sun. It has just sunken in that he has to go back to school and I would have to say his feet are dragging a bit. It will be O.K. once he gets back in the swing of things. We are just looking forward to the end of school.
Sydnee is now in the terrible two stage. To get our attention she thinks it is O.K. to hit ya or scream at you. We are sooooo working on this. She has gone potty on the toilet once. I was pumping her full of candy to get her to sit there and reading story after story. She still isn't to interested in the whole potty thing. I guess once is enough. Mom and Dad are ready however to get only one kid in diapers. We are still working on it!! Chase is now sitting up and will only role once and a while. He has been running a fever the past two days but still is happy till night time. Then he just wants to be held. That has taken a toll on his mom. We did figure out that he will sleep longer if we put him on his belly. We are pretty sure he is teething since he is drooling like crazy and stuffing anything in sight into his mouth. Poor kid!! We hope this fever thing ends and he figures out it is alright to sleep in his crib the whole night!! That is our hopes soon!!! Both get along really good. Chase will laugh at Sydnee doing anything which some times isn't so good cause he sometime fuels the fire. I don't know what it is but he thinks she is the funniest. We are all doing well with exception to the fever and hope all of you are in high spirits as well. We want the Ivie family in Memphis to know we are thinking of them. We love you!!
